Bedtime Story for Mummy

I had a busy day and it resulted with a heavy head, tired eyes and body.  Luckily we decided to go home after fetching Little DinoEgg and buy some food from the small cafe downstairs.  Daddy went off for an appointment after dinner, leaving us alone.  Not feeling like doing anything, I decided to turn in early.  Told Little DinoEgg that I'm not feeling well and would like to have an early night, asked him to brush his teeth n head off to bed too.

He did not protest or begged me for "another 5 more mins" of the telly, he brushed his teeth and then said "Mummy, let me read u a story book ok?"  And off he went to find a book for me.

For the next 15mins or so, he sits beside me while I lie down on the bed resting my head reading to me.

Never mind that he still needs my help with some big words, he is after all a 6yr old only, but its the warm fuzzy feeling you get when some one does something JUST FOR YOU that makes me smile n float up to 7th heaven.

We were only half way through when I have to stop him coz I was really feeling so comfy that my eyes keeps closing.

My bedtime story
We put away the books n off to dreamland together.

  1. Parenthood is precious, isn't it?

At times like these - we are made to understand that as much as we love them, we are also loved in return.
