June 2015 School Holiday Fun Activities

Since 2014 we have been doing up posts that list all the fun activities you can do with your kids, as a family during the school term break or holiday.  We try not to include any academic activities because we strongly believe that our children should spent doing nothing except PLAY TILL THEIR HEART'S CONTENT during these time.  I hope my list of activities helps you have more play time with your children and family.  Let's all make wonderful memory for the family where there are always fun, laughter and bonding time!

Among the activities we are interested in the movie screening at Botanic Gardens, we have watch Home Run when it was screened in 2003, it was the best local production we have watched that time.  It has left an impression in my mind, I hope to let DinoBoy watch it and let him catch a glimpse how lives were back then in early Singapore.

Pack a picnic basket and enjoy a movie under the stars amid the lush surroundings of Swan Lake. Join us for a free movie screening of the local film, Home Run (跑吧孩子) [with English Subtitles].

A local spin on the award winning Iranian Madjid Majidi's film Children of Heaven, directed by Singapore’s home-grown talent director – Jack Neo, who never fails to tug at heart strings with almost all his works. This film- Homerun - later bagged the 2003 Golden Horse Awards. A story about a pair of siblings from an impoverished background, needing to share shoes for school, follows the elder brother’s struggles and differences, with a comical spin, eventually harnessed his sporting prowess in an effort to obtain a pair of shoes.
