Our 1st Roast dish

While me & Little DinoEgg was napping, daddy has been busy!

We decided to potluck to Chris' house and even though we said that we will bring fried bee hoon, daddy decided to play with our new oven by roasting a chicken.  He went through my many cook book and found one roast chicken recipe.  He then went off to the supermarket to get the ingredients, came home beaming with happiness as he was able to find rosemary from our neighbourhood NTUC Supermarket.

Its a long 2.5hrs of marinating, cooking, roasting of the chicken & the veggies.  Soon the house is filled with savory smell of melted butter with a sting of peppery fragrance from the capsicum and the aroma of the roasting chicken.  Both of us agree that it smells great but daddy says "smells ok but not sure whether the taste is good or not."

We shall wait for the verdict tonight.

BTW, wanna ask. The cookbook says to tie the chx leg (or is it the end of the drumstick where the feet suppose to be), what to use to tie the leg and why must tie the legs?
