THE FIRE IS BACK!!!!

As per my earlier post, my shopping trip to Robinson @ City Hall was cancelled. Walked to NSL n waited for the train, about 2mins to the waiting, came an announcement "Dear Passengers, due to a track fault from some part of the track towards Marina Bay, the train will be delayed for about 10mins." I look at the time.. hmm.. still early, any way 10mins will pass on quite fast.

About 5mins to waiting, the annoucement came again "Dear Passengers, due to a track fault from some part of the the track towards Marina Bay, the train will be delayed for about 5mins." Fair enough... means they are also doing the counting down.

8mins into waiting, saw a station officer carrying a fire extinguisher n walking briskly towards the end of the platform. 2mins later, the same station officer walked back, this time heard from his walkie talkie "THE FIRE IS BACK!! THE FIRE IS BACK!!!!" The station officer starts running back to the end of the platform. Almost at the same time, announcement came again "Dear Passengers, due to a track fault from some part of the track towards Marina bay, the train will be delay for about 15mins." At this moment I decided to give up my shopping trip to City Hall n start heading back to the NEL.

While on the travellator, saw Adeline, we stopped to chat for a while (fancy meeting her inside train station), told her tracks on fire but its towards Marina Bay direction. She was concerned... will the Jurong West direction be affected??? Good question!! Then we heard whistle... we turned n saw 3 fire men in their blue suits n bright orange helmet with oxygen tank on their back n carrying fire extinguisher running towards NSL... Thats when we parted ways n let Adeline find out whether her train is affected or not.

Wat an experience... Lets see if tomorrow there will be news on this THE FIRE IS BACK incident.
