Our 1st June Holiday!

I was very excited when the month of June approaches, I had a few things planned out in my mind, a couple of playdates and gatherings.  I have also took leave for the 3 Fridays in the month.  However, we were hit by the haze mid June which got worse by the following weeks so we are basically stuck at home unable to go anywhere.  Despite that, we managed to find some time to go out and have some fun when the air quality was better.

1. We went for a June Holiday Workshop at HeART Studio, DinoBoy & Cousin Han made a beautiful Relief Aboriginal Art each.

2. A beautiful golden beetle took refuge on my head *YIKES*, guess the bad air is making it sick.  DinoBoy wanted to keep it as a pet so DinoPapa caught it and put it inside a small bucket.  He was excited with the new pet and plucked fresh leaves from our plants daily for the beetle.

3. The haze was at its peak with the PSI hitting 400, it was too warm to stay in the house with the doors and windows closed tight so we wear our mask and head off to the neighbourhood library for some air con, some fresh air and books for company.

4. For the 1st time in a week the air quality was better, no warm air or hazy sky, we could breath!  So we head off to little Jadelyn's birthday and had a blast of time.

5. Sis came for dinner and the 2 little imps had fun playing with paper aeroplanes and toys.  No screen entertainment that evening YEAH!

6. National Library Board revamped the children section in Central Library and we went to check out My Tree House, the world's first green library for kids.  We like the settings and the ambiance, DinoBoy love the tree house and sat in the tree house reading his book.  He would only want to leave the library after he finished that book.

7. We went to watch Monster University and laughed till our sides hurts and our jaws tired from chewing the popcorns.

8. Last art lesson for the term in Heart Studio, finishing his master piece with Teacher Gaz's help.

9. This was long arrange BBQ gatherings with a few friends.  While the adults drinks and enjoy the tasty food, the kids were happy to watch DVD and play Wii games.  This was also the 1st time I drank Kilkenny after a decade or so.  Good food.  Good wine & booze.  Good company.

Besides the above, after bugging me for the pass year DinoBoy is back swimming and he is extremely happy about it.  I took videos of him swimming but lazy to upload it to some where n show every one so here is a photo of him in the water.

Also the library is having the Double Up tbe Loan promo till August 2013, we borrowed many books and DVD.  Our evenings were quieter and calmer.  I even made him do a simple book review to improve his creative writing skill.

We visited Gardens By The Bay for the first time before the haze attacked us and we enjoyed it a lot.  DinoBoy was the most excited one as he ran around with a camera on hand, snapping photos away, you can see some of the photographs he took over here.

Even though the haze messed up my holiday plan, I am glad that we did eventually managed to have some fun.  I hope you had a fun filled holiday too!  I am looking forward to September term break to have more fun with the little fella.

  1. Sounds like your family had a great time. I love the collage and the way you numbered it and then described each pic. Very easy to follow that way. visiting from the ultimate blog challenge

    1. And DinoBoy love the balloons from Jadelyn's party! Even though that very night it got free from the chair I casually tied them to and the balloon strings got tangled onto the ceiling fan. Almost caused the ceiling fan to explode, lucky DinoPapa was still up and not dozed off on the sofa.
