Lemon Butter Sage Fish in Parchment Paper

This post has been sitting in the DRAFT folder for too long!  I thought I published it but darn... the brain played a trick on me again.  So a few months ago many of you saw a similar photo of the dish I posted then and has been asking questions about the dish and also for the recipe. Today I shall satisfy every one and share how to make that simple healthy spaghetti in under 30mins.

You know I have a small balcony garden with a few pots of herbs, one of them is sage.  This pot has been with us for 2 years, I bought a packet of sage from supermarket because I wanted to me make Jaime Oliver's Baked Chicken in Milk.  I have left over and I just stick a couple of them into the soil, just trying to see if they survive or not.  Did not think much about them but weeks later I found that 1 of them did not wither and die but instead grow bigger and stronger.  2 years later its a thriving plant with lotsa sage leaves.  Truth to be told I rarely use sage coz I am not familiar with this herb thus not sure what to cook with it.  Earlier this year I decided to do justice to it and searched for recipes that uses sage.  Some of them are difficult to make and some are easy such as this Lemon Butter Sage Fish in parchment paper dish which I am going to introduce to you.

You can use any fish as long as the meat is firm, we used tilapia fillet which can be found easily at the frozen seafood section in supermarket.  They don't cost a bomb too, I have bought 2 brands so far costing $4.95 and $6.50 respectively, the only difference between the 2 brands are the size of the fillet, both fillet tasted fresh and sweet with no muddy taste.  Just take a look at them, freshly out of the oven and into the serving pot (I don't have a big enough bowl to hold 8 fillets thus have to use my corning ware), fishes are broken into pieces because I was clumsy when removing them from parchment paper.

While I love the lemon buttery taste of the sauce, from their feed back on the dishes I prepared I secretly think that the rest of the family does not share the same sentiments.  Well, too bad for them, they have to eat whatever I bring out from the kitchen, that's the great part of being the one doing the cooking.  No one will ever have any opinions on the food you dished out, also partly because I cook decent food that taste good.  Can you feel that I am praising myself? Yes and not shy about it too hahaha!

This dish takes about 10mins to prepare for the fast hand (of course defrosting of the fish does not count lol)  and another 10mins (approx) to cook, great for weekdays dinner.  Since fish goes well with anything, we decided to have it with cream sauce spaghetti.  No greens on the side coz no one wanted them, its ok, lesser work for me.

Ingredients
* 2 fish fillets (such as salmon, tilapia, halibut or barramundi)
* 1 lemon, sliced
* 2 tablespoon of butter
* 5 to 6 sage leaves
* sea salt
* ground pepper

Directions
1. Preheat oven at 200Deg
2. Lay a piece of parchment paper big enough to wrap up the fish fillets, fold it into half and make a crease line in the middle, open it up.
3. Place the fillets on the parchment paper, slightly off centered.
4. Put the butter on top of the fillets, add in the sliced lemon, sprinkle some sea salt and pepper to taste.
5. Bring the other side of the parchment paper over to cover the fillets, start folding the sides in and ensure that it is tightly folded.
6. Put into the fish on a baking tray and into the oven to bake for 10mins.  baking time depends on the thickness of the fillet.
7. When its done, cut open the parchment paper and serve the fish.

Day in a Life (DIAL) of a Mum 2016

As if you guys are still not familiar with our life today I am going to write a post about it again.  2 years ago, I wrote about the After Work Hours of a FTWM, so has things changed 2 years later?  Oh, definitely!  Besides being a full time working mum and a mum blogger, I am also a crafter now, on top of that I cook "ferociously" on weekday nights for a healthy home cooked dinner for the family.  Adding on to the one hour coaching the boy on his school work and revision too.  All these are new routine that requires time to adjust and I am glad that I persisted, the result is tremendously great!  So read on and find out about a typical day of our household.

*** *** ***

My day still starts early as the alarm went off at 515am (usually at 4am+ on weekend mornings) where the snooze button will be hit a couple of times till its 530am; yes I need time to get myself wide awake.

After washing up, I'll go into the kitchen to make myself a cup of instant kopi-O, sometimes I put laundry to wash and off to the study room I go to do stuffs to do before the rest of the family rises.  What stuffs?  Stuffs like blogging (like now) and finishing orders for my online shop.

An hour plus later it's Rise and Shine for the boy who jumped out of the bed almost immediately (I always wonder how he does that!) to wash up.  Breakfast for him is usually a cup of Enfagrow formula milk, he rarely eats anything coz according to him "my system has not wake up yet.".  I am not the least worried because the milk keeps him full and gave him energy for the morning till his recess later in the morning.

While he takes 15mins or so to finish his cup of milk, I went off to either hang up the laundry or get ready for work.  After I'm done, he will heads off to the bathroom for a quick shower too and get ready for school. We are out of the house 45mins later (oh before that I have to kick DinoPapa up from his comfy sleep hahahaha!)

School is a stone's throw away, but sometimes we still manage to make him late for school *opps* but this year we are doing great in this area, only late for school ONCE back in August.

We parted our ways at the school gate and I continue my journey to my workplace in town.  I love the morning train ride to work because I get to do my crafts, its therapeutic and wakes my mind slowly (yupe still feeling sleepy).

I reach office on time and starts to settle down to begin my busy day.  As I woke up real early, by this time I will be famished, I'll either make myself a cup of instant cereal or milo but recently I've been having a better & healthier breakfast; banana nut crunch cereal with milk is one of them.

Well, with a full stomach I am ready to tackle the day's work that includes handling phone calls, courier guys, attending to bosses (I have 7 of them!) requests and work instructions, doing accounts and admin work.  Some days it's a mad day where I don't even have time to visit the little girl's room, some days it's peace and quiet that I feel like falling asleep on my table.... Of course NOT!

During such times I busy myself on the social media (who doesn't hehehe~) or I'll take out the stack of assessment books or past year test papers which I lugged to work that day to mark.  Yupe, I've been more persistent in getting him to do his revisions coz I am more worried about his school work as he progresses towards P5. Things will get a little bit tougher and more challenging as the school gears them towards PSLE, knowing my son I know he will do well but there may be chances that he is over confident with himself.  Thus I want to keep his feet on the ground and ensure that he practice & revise his school work.  So far our arrangement has gone well, in the morning I will mark them out and leave the books on his study table, he will finish them diligently when he comes home from school. Now, its the marking by this mama that still needs some improvement, that is why I bring them to office.

The most important part of a work day for all working adults is LUNCH, the same goes to me too.  Working in town does means that every thing costs slightly more, a bowl of ban mian 版面, sliced fish noodle can easily cost SGD5 to SGD6, a plate of chicken or char siew rice is SGD5 with miserable pieces of meat.  So a year plus ago I started to cook my own lunch in the office, thank goodness my bosses and colleagues has no objections about that.  I don't do the whole stir frying, deep frying or anything, I just use my Electric Lunch Box or ELB to steam my food.  Sometimes I'll bring last night's left over dinner to heat up and eat with rice or noodle but most of the time I cook them fresh because I am able to buy fresh ingredients from the nearby supermarket and keep them in the office's fridge to cook for the rest of the week (Lucky me eh?)

Here are some of the food that I cooked in the office.  A friend once mentioned that my lunch is always very exciting because I get to cook different food almost every day.

Despite my busy workload I was able to knock off on the dot daily, its a mad rush n squeeze in the train back home, sometimes with that day's dinner ingredients in my hand.  Dinner time in the family is a serious affair.  I will take turn with DinoPapa to cook and as we probably have about an hour to get everything served on the table, things can get a little bit chaotic in the kitchen.  Sometimes temper flares because of reasons like getting into each other's way.  Some days things are smoother, DinoBoy has started to help out more in the kitchen since last year so we can let him do some cutting and cooking of the food under our supervision.  This boy really like to learn cooking, I think he takes over the dad plus he sees both of us made great food in the kitchen and it inspires him into wanting to follow us too.

It's usually 3 dishes + a soup but sometimes we make do with 2 dishes and no soup.  Most important thing is we have healthy home cooked food to end our day.  As you can see from the follow photos, we have moved on from simple one pot dish dinner to more lavish sumptuous dishes.

R&R time after dinner will usually see me sticking my nose at my mobile phone playing games, sometimes if our pet hamsters are out from their slumber early I will play with them together with DinoBoy. We adore both Russel and Bacon, they may be brothers be but their character are totally different.  Guess who is the tam jiak or gluttonous one?

In a short while we either proceed to the study room to do our stuffs; DinoBoy continue with his revision or he will grab a book to read while I sit down to do my craft work.  If he's doing revision it will take him about 30mins, after that it's reading time.  We do not have screen time; exceptional case to DinoPapa (dads always do not fall into the Rule thingy) on weekdays, now that he is older, he is able to plan out his time, keep himself occupied instead of bugging me to play or entertain him.

Things are getting slower at home for me, especially the night.  Although I do not have After Work Happy Hours I am starting to meet up with my girl friends recently.  We agreed that it is going to be at least a monthly meet up so we shall see how things turned out.

Bed time is 10pm for DinoBoy, I will stay in the study room to finish up my craft or a little bit of blogging before turning in for the night about an hour later, that also marks the end of the day for us.

Cajun Seafood in a Bag

Thanks to a girlfriend who shared this Cajun Seafood in a Bag with us after our makan date at Dancing Crab.  Her photos made all of us goes WOW~ because it look so damn delicious and her family clearly are enjoying the food to the max.  "That's it!" I said to myself when I saw the photos, "I am going to make this for us!"

And I did, of course I waited no time to share it with all of you in instagram that day.  That photo was cropped nicely to show details of the food, such glorious food and I am salivating now!  (Some of you requested for the recipe after seeing that photo, hence I am writing this post) Now, look at the zoomed out photo and you can see the actual amount of food I prepared that day for 4 adults and 3 kids.  That mountain of food is the result of 5 seafood bags, poured into a huge rectangle tray for all of us to eat them with our hands the communal way.  Cool right!  No mountain of utensils to wash after that too so its a great one dish meal.

IF you love seafood, you will definitely adore this dish coz it is such an easy dish to prepare, especially when you run out of meals idea.  The flavor from the sweetness of the fresh seafood and vegetable with a tinge of spiciness from the cajun seasoning makes you crave for it time to time.

Since the recipe is Cajun Seafood in a Bag, that means the most important ingredient is the Cajun seasoning which can be bought easily from most major supermarkets.  The rest of the ingredients are basically up to your preference, just remember to pre boil the potatos and carrots plus add in knob of butter and slices of lemon in your bag.

Since the day we had it for the first time, it has been lingering at the back of our mind (and our tongue!) for weeks, it was so unbearable that we decided to have this as dinner, a smaller bag just enough for the 3 of us with lesser and different ingredients but still as flavorful and finger licking good as ever.

I am listing down the ingredients I have used, feel free to add in anything that you fancy.

Ingredients - Seafood
* crabs - either flower crabs or mud crabs
* prawns
* fish fillet - salmon, tilapia or any fish with firm meat
* sotong
* white clams
* mussels

Ingredients - Vegetable
* sweet corn
* mini asparagus
* yellow onion
* capsicums
* potato
* carrot
* snow peas

Ingredients - others
* crab sticks
* sausages

Seasoning
* cajun seasoning
* parsley flakes
* sea salt
* lemon
* butter

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 200 Deg.
2. Prepare the seafood.  Clean and cut up the crabs & sotong.  Wash the clams and mussels. Rinse the prawns. Cut the fish fillet into bite size.
3. Season the seafood with cajun season & parsley flakes.  Depending on the amount of seafood I am preparing I will adjust the seasoning accordingly so basically I will added 1 tablespoon for 1 bag.  Also depending on your liking of this seasoning and adjust accordingly.
4. Prepare the vegetable. Cut up the potato & carrot, boil them till they are half cooked. Slice up the yellow onion and chop the corn into small size.
5. Slice the lemon; more if you are making several bags.
6. Tear a long piece of aluminium foil, fold it into half, open up and start piling your food slight off centre.  Place the lemon slices and knob of butter on top of the pile, sprinkle some sea salt after that.
7. After you have done that, bring the other side of the aluminum foil over and cover the food.  Start to fold in the ends on all 3 sides.  You have to ensure that it is folded in a few times and tightly pressed down to ensure no air can escape from the bag.
8. Put it on a baking tray and into the oven to be baked for about 25mins or till seafood are cooked.
9.  Remove from oven, cut an X on top of the bag, open up and serve.

Cheesy Zucchini Rice

We have been cooking at home so often that sometimes I just dread eating plain rice, even though its steaming fragrance rice.  I would love to explore cooking flavoured rice but DinoPapa is an old fashion old man someone who love his steaming white rice during dinner so my options are limited. Last year I managed to let him accept the Tomato Rice (after telling him the ingredients and reassure him that it will be tasty) and I've been cooking that quite often.  And yes, it get kinda boring after a while so couple of months back I made the Kimchi Rice, that night I was jittery because honestly, kimchi is an acquired taste; you either love it or hate it to the core, I was prepared to face the almighty "Justice Bao" at dining table.  Luckily that did not happen and turned out that he love it *phew!*

2 weeks ago I made a new flavoured rice, it was a last minute decision because DinoPapa was not feeling well to cook and I did not have any idea what ingredients we had in the fridge.  With limited time to grab ingredients after I knock off from work, I needed some simple dishes ideas.  I scoured the web and thought of making the Cheesy Zuchinni Rice as one pot meal will be great.  It was too late to bring out any chicken thigh, fish or the prawns from the freezer to thaw so I bought a packet of frozen cooked shrimp from the supermarket.  By the time I reach home some of the prawns had thawed, just in time for cooking.

This time I have no fear of meeting "Justice Bao" because DinoPapa sort of got used to eating non-white-steaming rice occassionally, plus there are cheese and he do love cheese! Since cheese sort of fill the stomach up I cooked lesser than usual rice that day... BIG MISTAKE!!!  The rice was so delicious that we all would love to have 2nd helping but was disappointed when there were none.

This rice is as versatile as the Tomato Rice but its has more flavour, perhaps of the onion and garlic that was used to cook with the rice.  Every grain of the rice is moist and cheesy, I burnt some of the cheese accidentally (forgot to watch the fire) but turned out that it adds a bit of chow tar crunch to the rice.  However if its burnt and blacken, please throw that portion away as it is unhealthy to consume them.  I love zucchini so I got DinoBoy to diced it, it adds a bit of crunch in the rice but if you do not like that you can either julienne or grate it with a grater for a lesser crunch.

I have always and only cook rice in the rice cooker and when I'm cooking in the office its in the Electric Lunch Box, never would I think that I will cook it in any other way.  This rice uses the skillet to cook, truth be told I wasn't sure if it will be successful or not but I just went ahead, the worse scenario will be a ruined dinner with 1 unhappy boy and 1 "Justice Bao", not the first time that happened in the family too.  And the recipe calls for long grain rice but I did not have it and didn't want to spend money to get a new packet of rice so I just use our normal fragrance rice, works just as well too.

So, I started off by frying the diced onions and minced garlic in melted margarine, the aroma of these 3 ingredients are heavenly!  It made DinoPapa came into the kitchen to check out the smell and see what am I cooking.

Next I added in the washed rice to fry it for a while, remember to drain all the water otherwise you will have oil splatter all over the stove and yourself too!

20 mins or so later, the rice is done! It has absorbed all the chicken stock, its time to add in the cheese, margarine and zucchini. When they have all melted and mixed with the rice, you can stir in the prawns or whatever ingredients you have prepared and set aside earlier.  The last thing to do is serve them hot, sit down and enjoy it with your family!

I used shrimp this time and it was delicious, I am now thinking what other side dish I can make to go with this Cheesy Zucchini Rice the next time I make it.  I reckon it will be in the near future because the taste is so unforgettable, the plus point is that it takes only 30mins to cook it!

Ingredients
* 1.5 cups rice, washed
* 1 Japanese zucchini, diced/grated
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1 small yellow onion, diced
* 2 cups chicken stock
* 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
* 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 2 knobs of butter/margarine, separated

Directions
1. Melt 1 knob butter/margarine in skillet using medium heat, be careful not to burnt it.
2. Add in the onion and garlic, sauté till onion is soft and translucent.
3. Add in washed rice, stir continuously for about 1-2 mins.
4. Add in the chicken stock, turn the fire to high to bring it to boil.  After that, bring the fire down to low, cover the skillet and let it simmer for 15-20mins or till the the stock has been absorbed by the rice.
5. Add the Cheddar & Parmesan cheese, zucchini and the other knob of butter/margarine to the hot rice, mix them up ensuring that the cheese and butter/margarine melts and coat all the rice.
6.  Stir in any ingredients you have prepared earlier.
7.  Serve while hot.

POSB PAssion Run for Kids 2016

On 4th September 2016, DinoBoy joined about 7,500 other participants to run for a good cause at the 8th edition of the POSB PAssion Run for Kids. The annual charity run has raised a total S$1 million this year with strong support from corporate partners and the public to fund children’s programmes through the POSB PAssion Kids Fund, We are very proud to be part of this good cause!

This run has a few Firsts for DinoBoy; it is his First solo run and his First 1.2m distance route.  Looking at his time I think he did good as a first timer.

You might be wondering about the  POSB PAssion Kids Fund, this was established in 2011 with the aim to support meaningful and innovative community initiatives for children, the funding obtained through the annual POSB PAssion Kids Run provides for children’s programmes and activities that will benefit children up to 16 years of age in the community.

Programmes funded under this Fund are designed to benefit children from different backgrounds and includes underprivileged children and special needs children as well. The programmes are created to provide all children with an equal opportunity to participate actively and pick up skills that will help them become active contributors to the community in future.

The fund allows for a broad range of activities and workshops to be organised and the programmes implemented over the years can be categorised into the following categories:

1. Sports
2. Arts
3. Environment
4. Enrichment
5. Entrepreneurship
6. Community service programmes.

To date, the fund has supported 66 programmes organised by PA divisions, Grassroots Organisations (GROs) and Community Development Councils (CDCs) with over 244,000 children benefitting from the programmes. With funds raised annually, new programmes are continually being introduced to benefit more children.

Wow isn't it!  Well being one of the successful race event, I only have all the good words about it.  First of all, I adore the race pack!  Truth to be told, I have enough drawstring bags in the store room to let me bring a different one out each day for a week!  When I collected the POSB Kids Run waterproof bag my eyes were gleaming with delight!  This bag is great to bring along during DinoBoy's swimming lessons or when we visit the beach.  It is just the right size for him to sling across his body comfortably, no more carrying bulky and cumbersome bags!

On the actual day, we were almost late because we overslept!  The day before we went to Gardens by the Bay's Mid Autumn Festival till late hours, too much walking & fun makes us too tired at the end of the day.   The flag off time was 7.30am and I literally jumped out of the bed at 630am, a whole one hour later than the alarm time!   Lucky for us, we had transport and we flew there, reaching with only minutes to spare.  We immediately led the 2 kids to the holding area, few minutes later they "checked in" to the Pre-Race Kids Tent to get ready for their race.  We were told to "claim" our kids at one of then tent with a ticket that corresponds to our kids' bib number.

Selfie with PSOB mascot Smiley
So, where does the parents go?  Well, am not sure about the others but we made our way to the starting line to try to catch a glimpse of the kids.

This being a kids event, a huge wave of kids participating is expected.  One of my friend told me about his past experience with the run, in his exact words "POSB kids run is so congested.  i see all the kiasu parents, sian already." so I was expecting chaos, havoc, messiness and many other things that are associated with huge groups of kids.  Turned out that I see none of the above!  I am not sure about the other parts of the event but just on the kids racing part I think it is actually quite organised.

The organisor has separate catergories for the boys and girls, each divided into age groups.  Before the start of their race, the kids were break up into smaller groups so that they can run comfortably and not have to fight running space with each other or risk getting their feet tangled thus falling down or elbow fight with each other.

You can see the group size in the following 2 photos, the kids are chaperoned by many kor-kor and jie jie so no chance of them being lost or wander off half way while walking towards the Starting Point.  These kor-kor and jie-jie are very good, they tried to lift the younger kids' spirits, pumped their adrenaline up to get ready for the race and even cheered them on when the horn went off.

Since I do not know which group DinoBoy was in, I have to screen each and every boy in the group, it does not help that he is so tiny and small built!  Finally I saw him, and he really look so tiny amongst the other 9 to 10 year old boys.  Don't ask me why, I don't control his diet and his appetite has always been good since young.  I am clueless why he does not seems to grow in height and body mass.

After DinoBoy and his group were flagged off, I made a mad dash to the finish line to try to catch him running through it.  It felt like forever when in actual fact he took only 5mins to run the whole 1.2m.  He said there were a little bit of congestion initially when every one tried to dashed to the front, forgetting the safety instructions given earlier at the starting point.  Luckily no one tripped and fell or injured themselves.

The theme for this year’s POSB PAssion Run for Kids is Wellness by the Bay.  Besides the run categories, there is also the Carnival with exciting activities lined up especially for the entire family. As usual we did not stay to join in the carnival because the kids were famished after the run (and a little bit grumpy coz they woke up early) we left in search of food.

• Sailing
• Inflatable Rock Wall
• Blow Art (at pre-race tent)
• Google VR (at pre-race tent)
• Balloon Sculpting (at pre-race tent)
• Caricaturist (at pre-race tent)

DinoBoy spotted his favourite brand - Skechers (If you have read about our reviews in the blog you would have know the reason why we adore their shoes) at the event and was so happy! They are the official apparel of POSB Kids Run 2016. We went into the tent to check out their shoes and bags, as usual it was crowded because they always have great deals during such events which you simply cannot miss it!

And~~~ they spotted us too! The Skechers lady went around to spot runners in Skechers shoes and snap a photo of each of them. From their instagram post I can tell you that there are many Skechers fans out there on that day.

POSB PAssion Run for Kids Special Edition Medal Set (for competitive runners)
As the event leads up to the 10th anniversary of the run in 2018 and as a Thank You to the participants for supporting the run throughout the years, a special edition of the POSB PAssion Run for Kids medal will be introduced this year. This medal can be pieced together with the medals for both editions of the runs in 2017 and 2018 to form a special edition POSB PAssion Run for Kids Medal set.

This year we've got the first medal of the set, so looking forward to the next 2 years so that we can collect the whole set!

How did DinoBoy feel about his first solo race?  Well. I think this photo tells it all, don't you think?  Savoring the taste of victory no doubt.  More solo race to come my boy!

SEE YOU AT NEXT YEAR'S POSB PASSION RUN FOR KIDS!

Beef with Capsicum Wrap

You know that we cook dinner almost daily, sometimes it gets challenging to decide what dishes to whip up so that we don't get the "Are we eating THAT again?" respond from either of us.  I mean there are only so many types of vegetables to cook, even though there are many ways to prepare the poultry, meat and fish, it gets repeated fairly often especially on weekdays where time is not on our side thus we can't use any fanciful cooking method to cook the dishes.

Just the other day, when it was my turn to cook dinner my mind went blank... I was the one that said to myself in exasperation  "Not that dish again!" in my heart when I was trying to think up the dinner menu.  Feeling frustrated and lost I decided to do something out of the norm.

One pot dish - YES!  Easy & fuss free to prepare, don't we all love that!  This time it is even simpler because I really only need to prepare that one pot dish, because we are having wraps for dinner!  So I swung by the supermarket after I knocked off from work to grab some beef flank and capsicums.  45mins after I reached home, we were sitting down at the dining table chomping into our wraps.  NICE!

Frankly, wraps are not top of our go-to food, not even when we wanted to have a quick bite because it just did not cross our mind.  Plus I always associated wraps with breakfast or tea time snacks but who says you can't have them any time of the day?

Anyway, here's a look at our ingredients.  I sliced my 260g slab of beef flank thinly so that it is easier to bite off with the wrap and makes chewing less tedious.  Sliced half each of the red & yellow capsicum into thin strips too.  You must be wondering why the green capsicum is missing.  Well, no apparent reason other than I thought 3 capsicums will be too much for us to finish so I picked these 2 instead.

Oh I just have to show how beautiful the capsicums were while frying them in my wok, the colors are so vibrant! This photo is original, that means no color & lighting editing was done to it. Now it makes me regret that I did not have the green capsicums in there otherwise that will be a perfect photo.

Now, let's talk a little bit about cooking beef, we know we can't over cook beef but we don't want to under cook it too unless you want to see blood dripping out of your wrap (YUCKS!).  And remember that my beef flank was sliced thinly so it will be cooked in fairly short time.

In this case what I did was to stir fry the beef for a minute or a minute plus with high heat then dish it out to let the heat does it's little magic of slowly cooking the beef further.  In the mean time I turn the fire down to medium high and threw in the capsicum to stir fry till soften.  When that's done, I threw the beef back into the wok, add soy sauce and do a quick one minute stir to mix all the ingredients up and its done!  The result - nicely done tender beef with soft & juicy capsicum, mmmm~~ PERFECTO!

Next up, warm the wraps in a flat frying pan or skillet on medium low fire, ensure that you do not burnt it.  It is ok if you see big bubbles forming in the wrap, that's just the heat doing its thing, it should be deflated when you remove the wrap from the heat.  Why heat up the wraps?  Of course you can eat them straight from the package but heating makes wrapping and rolling easier, lesser chance of tearing the wrap into pieces.

After all the preparation of ingredients and cooking, we are ready to wrap it up (no pun intended)!  I know the beef smell aromatic and looks colorfully delicious, hold your horses and try not pile up too much onto that piece of wrap. You'll probably end up having trouble wrapping it up or you risk tearing the wrap half way folding or rolling it.  IF you are successful, it probably will be difficult for you to bite through those layers of beef.  A reasonable portion should be enough, you want to taste the wrap with the juicy beef and capsicum in every mouthful right?

Ok ok, quickly wrap it up and eat up before the beef turns cold!
