Breakfast at Mac

We decided to go to Mac for breakfast but it turns out to be a not so good idea. The place was way too noisy for us to even hear ourselves when we chat. The kids are restless, ok ok only the boys were restless :) And when he Mac staff came out distributing the balloons, they got more restless, swinging the balloons etc, especially Little DinoEgg. He just would not put down the balloon n have his breakfast! On top of that, he keep hitting my head accidentally with it, which I HATE IT!

No more Mac breakfast meeting! If its fast food next time, its going to be BK or KFC.

Anyway, the mummies had a good time, imagine we sat there for like 2 hours plus chatting ^^

Usborne Books

Earlier this month I received a few discount vouchers from OCBC bank n it includes a MPH 20% discount for Usborne books (if u get 5 books n above). I have been wanting to get some Usborne books for Little DinoEgg (since the mistake I made with Ladybird books haha!) but did not have a chance to browse their online shops nor visit MPH.

Since I have this voucher, I thought "why not?" And this "why not" took me almost a month to materialize it *hhmmrrppphhhh* Too busy at work to go during lunch time or no chance to visit after work.

Anyway~ decided to go today coz the voucher expires end August! Better grab this chance!! Made arrangement with Granny to pick up Little DinoEgg and made my way down to MPH Raffles Place.

After browsing through the Usborne books, unsure which series to get (Level 1, Level 2 or what??), I decided to get the following First Reading books;

1. The Fox and the Stork
2. The Fox and the Crow
3. The Wish Fish
4. The Sun and the Wind
5. Little Children's Cookbook (this is more for myself)

The reason for finally decided to get the above story books coz I remember they are simple fable story that Little DinoEgg will understand. Also I thought its time he recognise some simple words, though I am sure the schoool did teach him, just that I want have some assurance myself hehehee~ Ok ok I am an anxious mum, but which mum will not be???

All those Whinning!

I was in the kitchen washing some thing when I heard Little DinoEgg crying n whinning, stuck my head into the living room and saw him standing at the coffee table, face scrunch up. Asked him what happened n he goes;

Little DinoEgg : Ma-mmyyy!! *cry cry n stick out his right arm at me*
Me : What happened??

He took 2 steps n sat down kicking his legs n cry out Maa-mmyyyy again.
Me : Come closer to me, tell me what happened?

He took 3 steps n sat down kicking his legs AGAIN!

Little DinoEgg : Ma-mmyyy u see!!!! I cannot! I cannot!
Me : Stand up, walk to me and show me what happened! And stop whinning!!!

Reluctantly he walked up to me, stuck his right hand at me n guess wat... its coz he is unable to open his bakugan =.=

This is how bad his whining is... little bit of things he will whine, but plopping his butt butt on the floor n kicking is the 1st time! Which I definitely DO NOT wish to see in future!

1st dinner I cooked

I bought some veggie last Friday, intending to cook lunch for Little DinoEgg ytd but did not. So I thought I cook dinner for him. Its a very simple ABC noodle soup ^^ There are potatos, carrots, broccoli, an egg and a handful of wolfberries. Added some wholemeal noodles n sesame oil, mmmmm~~~ smells so delicious!

And Little DinoEgg at almost a bowl of it, left with only 2-3 mouth of noodles. I guess wholemeal noodle is more filling. Yeah! Success!!

Its The Boy Who Cried Wolf day!

After Boogie Bug we had a quick brunch at Mac n headed off to SRT. Hmm... the address is kinda confusing, the taxi uncle was lost, we have to seek direction from 1 of the security guard who kindly pointed us the way. It was at the other side of the road... not exactly at the address given.

By the time we reached the place, its abt 10mins to the start of the play! Rushing like mad, then some one gave me a poster n told me to "put up the lamb ears", i was like HUH?? I looked around n the kids were wearing lamb ears on their head. OH! So the lamb ears can be found in the poster! DUHZ! I tear the thing out n trying my best to fix it up but got vexed coz the thing jus wouldn't fix and u need a stapler! grrrrr!!! Went to hunt one n managed to fix it up, thou it was abit hmm.. ugly... but make do lah :P

Quickly went into the theater, got a booster seat n went to our seat. 3rd roll, by the side, but not too bad, still able to see every thing.

The setting is of a meadow with a backdrop of a castle far away. There are stuff lambs around the stage too, with soft bleats occasionally. Makes u feel like u are really in a meadow n the wind is blowing softly.

When the play starts, the Big Bad Wolf suddenly jumped out and said Hello~ Haha~ harmless as it seems, it did give a little girl sitting at the 1st row the fright of her life n she wail n wail n wail non stop. Its was kinda distracting n I was getting abit impatient, well the daddy finally decided to bring her out while instructing the older daughter to sit n watch n dun move. Peace finally!

Little DinoEgg was very calm n attentive, perhaps coz this is his 2nd play? Or maybe its coz he was not sleepy yet. Or coz it was an interactive play n the Big Bad Wolf insist everyone in answering or singing with him LOL.

Everything went well till the Big Bag Wolf tied the Boy to a tree n start putting the lambs into a HUGE pot. Little DinoEgg told me he dun want to watch any more n want to go home. I think he could not bear to watch the lambs being cooked. I have to explain to him that its fake, play believe n its not real lambs. Luckily the Daddy came out n chase the Big Bad Wolf away n took out the lambs from the Big Pot. Otherwise Little DinoEgg will start his crying n demand to be brought out of the theater *phew*

It was a good show~ very lively n comical with a catchy tune. We absolutely enjoy it alot!

Shhsshhh & Shar-tub!

We have never fancy our neighobour's 2 CHH coz they are very noisy. They bark at everything n every one, plus they can go on n on n on n on! With their sharp barks it can really irks u to the max. And you thought by being neighbours for 5yrs they would have know our scent, well you are wrong! The minute we stepped out of the lift they will start barking madly. I have since taught Little DinoEgg not to make noise when he stepped out of the lift; usually he will be either laughing, screaming, jumping or running.

Recently he has been the one whispering to me when we are out of the lift "shhhshhh~~ dun wake up the dogs." Then he will tip toe to our door n goes "sshhhsshhh~" when I open the gate n door. And if we are "unlucky" n the dogs came tearing to their door barking madly, Little DinoEgg will say "SEE! I told you to SSHHHSSHHH!"

Sometimes when the dogs are barking the minute we are out of the lift, Little DinoEgg got irritated by their barking, he will shout at them "Shar-Tub!" Of coz this one is taught by yours truly haha~ when I have a tired day n their barking is really too much for me to bear even for that few seconds.

Birthday Celebration in School

Have arranged with Teacher Sue that we are going to celebrate Little DinoEgg's birthday this afternoon. Meet up daddy at RM to collect our cake from Swee Heng and then made a slow walk to the school carrying the 3kg cake and bags of goodie bags etc.

We came to the school n was met up a crying (again) Little DinoEgg, he is in his usual crying ritual after waking up from the nap *shame shame* We quickly get the cake ready while the teachers gather the kids together.

Little DinoEgg enjoy being the centre of attention haha! And of course he enjoyed the cake as well. Surprisingly the kids love the cake too! Many of them came back for a 2nd helping :) Glad that the cake was a hit.

Ervin's party

We are going for Ervin's 3rd birthday party~ so excited! Coz May booked me like a month ago lol. Party starts at 1pm but we arrived late coz it was raining.

We were the first guests to arrive n later on I was told that we were the ONLY guests! Coz Enry couldn't make it n its a small family n close frens celebration. Regardless, the most important thing is the kids enjoy themselves.

Its a Thomas the Train theme party! Look at the cake n jelly! Cool right?? I can never arrange for such theme coz I am simply to lazy to search n find those people who bake cakes at home for such parties LOL. Look at Little DinoEgg's party recently... the most I did was the cake, birthday banner n balloons hehee~ Even the treat boxes were of different theme...

Even though there were only 3 kids; Little DinoEgg, Ervin n Erlene, they had a fun time. May's elder sis even play hide n seek with Little DinoEgg, how funny this little fella is, such a simple n easy game can sets him giggle n laughing with excitement. The 2 boys is very fascinated by the BIG singing Thomas balloon, keeps jumping up n hit it so tt it can sing the birthday song. And the food! Wow, its yummy too, all cooked by May's mum, oh n who can forget the oneh-oneh by May's MIL??? When I left I took a big box of oneh-oneh n jelly, yummy yummy!

I only have the cake n jelly photos coz I was not in the mood of taking photograph. Perhaps its due to the coziness of May's house, makes me so relax :P BTW Ms May, I am still waiting for the CD... *drum fingers*

3rd Birthday Bash

The day has come for the birthday bash! Ytd nite we packed the treat boxes n put up the birthday banner, all done by 12 mid night ^^

Here is the treat boxes I got for the kids this year. I got it from Party in a Bag, value for money n different from the usual goodie bags Little DinoEgg receives. As usual, I over stuffed them with too much goodies.

I went out at 11.30m to collect the birthday cake, 12.30pm the buffet is all set up. Guests are already arriving by the time I reach home at 1.30pm. As usual, too many things to do, only 2 hands n not much time to take photos :P

Uncle Jack was so eager to show Little DinoEgg, he got him so interested in his pressie that Little DinoEgg insisted on opening it right there n then.





Party was a success though a few of the friends did not turn up, they were either sick, house arrest (not H1N1 hehe~) or family matters crop up. The kids AND the adults love the alligator treat box (Ya Noel its ALLIGATOR, not dinosuars, not monkey lol).

No Tears!

Today Little DinoEgg went to school with no tears n no temper tantrums! So proud of him!

Of coz he still says he wants to go to Granny's house this morning while changing his clothes, but I told him softly n firmly that we are going to school instead. No protest or whining from him after that :) Not sure whether is it my "brainwashing" method for the pass few days works or he finally realised that he cannot escape school eventually.
